Who we are

This website is operated by Forajet Mühendislik Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti. (“Forajet”, “we”, “us”). We are an engineering company based in İstanbul, Türkiye, supplying ultra-high-pressure water jet equipment, industrial cleaning systems and related services.

For the purposes of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) we act as the data controller for the personal data described below.

What information we collect

We only collect data that you choose to share with us or that is technically necessary to operate this website:

  • Contact and enquiry data — name, company, job title, e-mail address, telephone number and the content of your message when you use a contact form, request a quotation or e-mail us.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page and the pages you visit, collected automatically by our web server.
  • Cookie data — see the Cookies section below.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and we do not collect data from children.

How we use your information

We process your data in order to:

  • answer your enquiries and prepare quotations;
  • fulfil and follow up commercial relationships, orders and after-sales service;
  • meet our legal, tax and commercial record-keeping obligations;
  • keep the website secure and improve its content and performance.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Legal basis for processing

Depending on the situation we rely on the following grounds under Article 5 of the KVKK: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps taken at your request; compliance with a legal obligation; our legitimate interests in operating and securing our business; and, where none of these apply, your explicit consent.

Cookies

This website uses cookies that are necessary for the site to function, such as session and security cookies, and, where enabled, cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may then not work as intended.

Where analytics services are used, the data is evaluated in aggregated form and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Sharing with third parties

We may share your data with:

  • the manufacturers we represent, such as WOMA, HYDWIN, OFTEC, Safetech and Transfer Oil, where this is necessary to answer a technical enquiry, prepare a quotation or arrange warranty and service work;
  • our hosting, e-mail and IT service providers, acting on our instructions;
  • public authorities and courts, where we are legally required to do so.

Some of these parties are located outside Türkiye. Transfers abroad are made in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK.

How long we keep your data

Enquiry and quotation records are kept for the duration of the commercial relationship and afterwards for the periods required by Turkish commercial and tax legislation, generally ten years. Technical log data is kept for the periods required by Law No. 5651. When a retention period ends, the data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is being processed, to request information about the processing, to learn its purpose, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred, to request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data, to request erasure or destruction, to object to conclusions drawn against you by automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss and disclosure, including encrypted connections, access controls and regular backups. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect your data once it reaches us.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page together with the date of its last revision.
